Our History

The Rucker family first started in the beer business in 1964 with the purchase of a Stroh’s distributor in Michigan. The Ruckers moved to Beckley, WV in 1989 when they purchased the local Anheuser-Busch wholesaler (Mountain Eagle). In 2000 the Ruckers acquired the Anheuser-Busch and Gallo wine distributor in Romney, WV and renamed it Northern Eagle.

Proud Eagle was founded July 1st, 2008 with the purchase of the Anheuser-Busch rights for the Charleston and Parkersburg, WV markets.
